We work with a rat model of gestational and postgestational malnutrition. Recent studies have shown that the gestational and postgestational intake of sugared water provokes in the adult progeny anatomical and functional alterations in certain tissues that are of interest to us to analyze; for example adipose tissue, pancreas, liver, and, particularly, the striated muscle of the pelvic area of male and female rats.
